Diddy Houses Raided
On Monday, March 25th, Sean “Diddy’s” homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by federal officers. Fox 11 out of Los Angeles captured the events as they were unfolding. They showed federal agents entering the home as well as detaining his two sons, Justine Dior Combs and Christian “King'' Combs. ABC News reported that a months-long investigation into sex trafficking tied up the raid. For Combs, this is a continued barrage of accusations that have been haunting him for decades.Federal prosecutors from the Southern District of New York directed agents from the Department of Homeland Security to conduct raids as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged sex trafficking earlier in the day.
In a statement, authorities said, "Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions today as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners. As more information becomes available, we will share it."
Neither Combs' lawyer, Shawn Holley, nor music producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones' lawyer, Tyrone A. Blackburn, have immediately responded to a request for comment.
Blackburn, who also represents another accuser of Combs, said in a statement that the raids were long overdue. "Justice delayed is not justice denied, as long as justice ultimately comes," Blackburn said.
On February 26th, Jones filed a 73-page civil complaint against Combs in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. According to the lawsuit, Jones, who produced Combs' recently released album The Love Album: Off the Grid, was harassed, sexually assaulted, drugged, tasked with procuring sex workers, and threatened.
Combs, who has been the subject of several lawsuits alleging sexual abuse, sex trafficking, and other crimes, has maintained his innocence.
