Colman Domingo is returning to Euphoria
During an appearance on Wednesday's episode of Watch What Happens Live, Colman Domingo discussed his character on HBO's Euphoria.
An audience member inquired virtually if Domingo's character, "Ali," will appear in season 3.
“I will be returning to season 3 of Euphoria,” the actor informed on the streaming talk show. “We’ll get that started early next year.”
“I love working with Zendaya, she’s wonderful,” the actor added.
Domingo's character Ali is a recovered drug addict who also serves as a sponsor and mentor to Zendaya's "Rue" — a recovering drug addict — in the drama about a group of high school students navigating love and friendship in a world of drugs, sex, trauma, and social media.
Domingo won an Emmy Award in 2022 for outstanding guest actor in a drama series for his work on the show.
After Euphoria's season 3 filming was delayed due to last year's Hollywood strikes and Angus Cloud's death in July 2023, Deadline reported a few weeks ago that HBO stated production would begin in 2025.
During their free time, the Euphoria cast, which includes Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Sydney Sweeney, and Storm Reid, have all been preoccupied with huge film productions.
Domingo was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for his performance in the Netflix film Rustin, and he also won two NAACP Image Awards, one for Rustin and the other for his supporting role as Mister in The Color Purple.
