Alex Cross gets a premier date
The new Prime Video series Cross, starring Aldis Hodge as Alex Cross, will launch globally this fall.
Hodge announced the Nov. 14 debut date at the 30th Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans on Saturday.
The series' key art was also shared on Prime Video's social media pages over the weekend.
“Shhh. He’s doing his thing. #CrossOnPrime arrives November 14,” Prime Video shared on its Instagram account, along with an image of the series artwork featuring Hodge in a detective jacket while standing in front of the U.S. Capitol with the words “Cross” written on yellow crime scene tape.
The series also features Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford, and Ryan Eggold.
As previously stated, the show is based on James Patterson's best-selling crime and mystery novels about a Metropolitan Police Department investigator and forensic psychologist who tries to protect the city of Washington, D.C. and his family.
Cross is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Paramount Television Studios, and Skydance Television.
The project, created and written by Ben Watkins, was ordered straight to series, with a second season already greenlit.
In the May teaser trailer, Alex Cross is shown as a widowed father to his children and the main investigator for Metro P.D. cases.
