Will Trent renewed for season 3 by ABC

ABC has confirmed that they will be renewing Will Trent, a procedural crime drama based on Karin Slaughter's novel series, for a third season. The show first aired on January 3, 2023. It follows Ramón Rodriguez, who plays the main character - a special agent for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He was abandoned at birth and had a tough upbringing in Atlanta's foster care system. Now, Will uses his distinct perspective to seek fairness.

The early pickup was expected as the ratings continue to rise. Recently, Will Trent achieved a record performance by attracting more than 9 million viewers across various platforms in just seven days, as reported by Nielsen Media Research.

Erika Christensen plays Angie Polaski, Iantha Richardson plays Faith Mitchell, Jake McLaughlin plays Michael Ormewood, and Sonja Sohn plays Amanda Wagner in addition to Will Trent. Liz Heldens, Dan Thomsen, Slaughter, Oly Obst, Howie Deutch, and Ramón Rodriguez are the executive producers of the show.
