Pedro Pascal gets a chance for a little romance in Materialists

Pedro Pascal is trying something new and incorporating some romance, or so it appears. With Celine Song at the helm, a surprise is always possible. Pascal stars alongside Dakota Johnson and Chris Evans in the first trailer for Materialists, Celine Song's follow-up to her debut film Past Lives, which was widely regarded as one of the best of 2023 and earned Song both Best Picture and Original Screenplay nominations at the Academy Awards. Song wrote and directed Materialists.

The romantic comedy follows Johnson's character, Lucy, a successful New York matchmaker who is torn between two men—the one she calls "a unicorn, an impossible fantasy," a wealthy perfect match on paper (Pascal), and her very imperfect ex, a struggling actor-waiter whom she meets again at one event (Evans).
