AAmazon's MGM Studios has unveiled the initial trailer for the upcoming sports-themed biopic, "Unstoppable." The film, which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September, features Jharrel Jerome and Jennifer Lopez in leading roles.

Don Cheadle, Bobby Cannavale, and Michael Peña complete the star-studded cast of this inspiring true story that follows the journey of Anthony Robles, played by Jerome. Against all odds, Robles defied limitations and went on to become a renowned national wrestling champion.”

William Goldenberg, the Oscar-winning editor of Argo and a nominee for The Imitation Game, Zero Dark Thirty, Seabiscuit and The Insider, makes his directorial debut with this film. The film's producer, Robles, also appears in the film as "Anthony Robles Double", performing the intricate wrestling moves and stunts. Jerome, who trained closely with Robles, worked with him to ensure the authenticity of the wrestling scenes.

The synopsis for the film is

Unstoppable is the inspiring true story of Anthony Robles (Jharrel Jerome) who was born with one leg but whose indomitable spirit and unbreakable resolve empowered him to defy the odds and pursue his dreams. With the unwavering love and support of his devoted mother Judy (Jennifer Lopez) and the encouragement of his coaches, Anthony fights through adversity to earn a spot on the Arizona State Wrestling team. But it will demand everything he has, physically and mentally, to achieve his ultimate quest to become an NCAA Champion.

“I’m very excited to bring it to the wider audience for sure, because his story is so unique beyond wrestling,” Jerome told Blavity’s Shadow and Act shortly after the film’s TIFF premiere. It’s not just about what he does on the mat, it’s the strength he has off the mat. He’s wrestling the whole movie. Every scene’s a wrestling scene, whether it’s wrestling an opponent, or wrestling his own emotions, or wrestling things going on around him. The way he’s so in control of his body [and] the way he’s so in control of his emotions, it’s a story that you can sit back and be like, ‘Hey, that’s me. I could see a little bit of me in that.’ Regardless if you have both your legs, it’s not about that. It’s also not about him just having one leg.”
