Ego had a moment on SNL

During the broadcast over the weekend, the Saturday Night Live audience laughed when Ego Nwodim pushed them to say a curse word collectively.

The unforgettable incident occurred on the Weekend Update, when Nwodim criticized the White House Correspondents Association for canceling comedian Amber Ruffin's appearance at the event. According to People, as Nwodim joked about what she would have said at the event if she had taken Ruffin's place, she engaged the audience in a call-and-response.

Interacting with the audience, Nwodim said “These men ain’t what?”

The crowd of course understood the assignment.

“S**t,” they said together in response to the SNL star.

Nwodim was surprised when the crowd replied to her prompt, but she continued to have fun with the audience.

"You're finna to get fined for that," the actress told the crowd.

Meanwhile, Weekend Update co-anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che shared a laugh with the audience. Nwodim then joked about what they could hear from SNL founder Lorne Michaels.

"Lorne will be mad at you'll" she continued.

While the group joked about the event, they are also waiting to see if the FCC would take action against NBC because the swear word was heard online while the show was being streamed. Deadline claimed that the term was suppressed on NBC owing to the five-second delay.

SNL has also opted to filter clips shared on the show's social media accounts. However, people are pleading for SNL to release the unedited video.
