Diddy faces a slew of new sexual abuse allegations, including from 25 minors
Sean "Diddy" Combs' sexual abuse allegations took a disturbing turn on Tuesday, when a Texas attorney said that he is preparing legal cases from 120 claimants, 25 of whom are kids.
During a live Instagram news conference on October 1, attorney Tony Buzbee stated that his Buzbee Law Firm had received hundreds of requests from claimed victims since announcing it was working on a case against Combs.
"The biggest secret in the entertainment industry, that really wasn't a secret at all, has finally been revealed to the world," Buzbee told the press. "The wall of silence has now been broken, and victims are coming forward."
The attorney stated that more than "3,285 individuals" have contacted his Houston-based company, "claiming to have been victimized by Sean Combs."
So far, the firm has been able to corroborate charges from 120 of those who came forward.
Buzbee, who claims to be certified to practice law in Texas and New York, stated that he has been gathering films, photos, and text conversations as part of his investigation into the claims.
The attorney stated that his business will soon begin pursuing individual civil actions against Combs and other people and entities he claims were complicit, rather than a class action claim.
"We will expose those who enabled this behavior behind closed doors. "We will pursue this matter, regardless of who the evidence implicates," Buzbee stated.
The attorney stated that his business will begin name the remaining defendants at a later date. In addition to people, he intends to sue corporations that profited, such as banks, hotels, and pharmaceutical companies.
He stated that the alleged abuse occurred over a 33-year period, from 1991 to 2024, and that the identities of some of individuals involved "will shock you."
Buzbee stated that a 9-year-old boy was among those assaulted.
"Our youngest victim at the time of the incident was nine years old." "We had a person who was 15 years old," he stated.
The incidents largely occurred in Manhattan, the Hamptons, Los Angeles, and Miami.
"Most of these events and incidents occurred at parties and afterparties, or album release parties, New Year's Eve parties, Fourth of July parties, something they called a 'puppy party,' and all-white parties," according to Buzbee.
Some claimants claimed that they were abused during business meetings with Diddy or his accomplices.
"Several of these events occurred during auditions, particularly among young people. People looking to break into the entertainment industry were forced into this type of behavior with the promise of becoming a celebrity, having Sean Combs listen to their tape, or even reading for Sean Combs," Buzbee added.
According to the attorney, the claimed victims were given beverages laced with chemicals, including Xylazine or "tranq," which the National Institutes of Health describes as a "veterinary tranquilizer" known to "slow breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure to dangerously low levels."
Buzbee labeled the medicine a "horse tranquilizer" and claimed it rendered the accusers powerless.
He claimed that one young woman was raped so viciously that her genitals were "torn" and she needed to be hospitalized.
Of the 120 accusers, half are men and half are women.
"In this group, 62% identify as African American. Thirty percent are Caucasian, while the rest are Hispanic and Asian. Buzbee said the victims came from 25 states, with the bulk hailing from California, New York, Georgia, and Florida.
According to the attorney, more than half of the accusers submitted police or hospital complaints. Some had their blood tested, and the findings were positive for tranquilizers.
Buzbee, standing next to a victims advocate and a member of the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault, praised the accusers and stated that many have faced threats for speaking up.
The attorney collaborates with AVA Law Group on the cases. His co-counsel, Andrew Arsdale of AVA Law Group, announced a sexual assault hotline number: 1-800-200-7474.
Arsdale called the case "unprecedented."
Meanwhile, Buzbee told reporters that he plans to begin bringing lawsuits within the next month and has hired a former detective from the Houston Police Department's serious offenders unit to help vet the accusations.
Combs' attorney issued a statement stating that the founder of Bad Boy Records "cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus."
"That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors," attorney Erica Wolff said in a statement. "He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation."
Prior to Tuesday's news presentation, Diddy has been accused of sexual abuse in a dozen lawsuits. He has consistently maintained his innocence.
On September 16, federal authorities arrested the mogul at a New York City hotel. He has pled not guilty to federal accusations of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution.
