Beyonce to campaign for Harris in Houston for final push
As the election nears its conclusion, Democratic presidential candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris will host a campaign rally alongside Houston native Beyoncé at the Houston Shell Energy Stadium. This highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place today, October 24, from 3 pm to 8 pm.
Eager supporters have already begun to queue outside the stadium, with one attendee, April Busby, arriving as early as 4 am to secure a prime spot in line. Speaking to Houston Public Media's Lucio Vasquez, Busby expressed her excitement at the prospect of witnessing Harris in person.
"I really, truly believe that she is going to bring us above the other guy, and we need that. We need her to unify all of us,"a supporter named Busby. "I see all these people and the things that we are talking about and it's amazing,” she stated to USA Today.
Hours before the show, an eager crowd lined up outside Shell Energy Stadium, the city's prominent soccer venue. The stadium reverberated with the captivating melody of Bad Bunny and Drake's hit song "MÍA," creating an atmosphere that spilled beyond the building's walls.
It remains to be seen whether Beyonce's star power will influence voters in her hometown of Texas to support Harris. However, given the willingness of people to stand in line, it is clear that her presence will generate interest.
