The Neighborhood comes back for season 7
CBS announced on Tuesday that the comedy show has been renewed for a seventh season and will be back on air for the 2024-2025 broadcast season.
In addition to that announcement, CBS confirmed that they are proceeding with the production of the 22nd season of NCIS.
“The Neighborhood and NCIS are the very best definition of a CBS comedy and drama,” Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a press release. “They embody authentic storytelling with heart, humor and family dynamics. We are proud to bring them back next season.”
NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is the main series in the franchise and follows a team as they are required to cooperate in intense situations. After NCIS: Los Angeles concluded last year, the other shows in the franchise are NCIS: Hawaii and NCIS: Sydney.
NCIS is currently in its 21st season and has an average of 12.9 million viewers across multiple platforms (both traditional TV and streaming) within 35 days, according to Nielsen data released by CBS. This represents a 12 percent rise compared to last year.
The series is ranked number one. There are two entertainment programs this season, with only Tracker on CBS ahead of them.
The cast of the show features actors such as Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Katrina Law, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, as well as Rocky Carroll and Gary Cole. CBS Studios is responsible for producing the drama in partnership with Belisarius Productions.
NCIS is shown on CBS on Mondays from 9:00 to 10:00 PM ET/PT.
Cedric the Entertainer stars as a kind man from the Midwest who relocates his family to a neighborhood in Los Angeles that is diverse and not everyone is welcoming or interested in getting to know their neighbors.
The comedy show has maintained an average of 7.9 million viewers this season after being watched across multiple platforms (including live TV and streaming) for 35 days.
The comedy, which is produced by CBS Studios, features Max Greenfield, Beth Behrs, Tichina Arnold, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears, and Hank Greenspan in starring roles.
The TV show The Neighborhood is broadcast on Mondays from 8:00 to 8:30 PM ET/PT on CBS.
Both shows can be watched live or on-demand on Paramount+.
The network recently confirmed that FBI will continue for three more seasons (seasons 7, 8, and 9), and sister shows FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted will be renewed for another season each.
