Power Book II: Ghost has some new players
The first glimpse of the new cast for the upcoming season of Power Book II: Ghost has been revealed.
The spinoff of the show Power, which follows Ghost's son Tariq St. Patrick, will come back for its fourth and final season in June.
Golden Brooks from Girlfriends will be joining the cast for the next season in a recurring role as Monet Tejada's cousin, Janet Stewart.
The latest photos from the show provide fans with a sneak peek at Janet and the new character Detective Don Carter, portrayed by Michael Ealy.
The pictures also depict Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) and Brayden (Gianni Paolo), who are fleeing after sparking a conflict with Noma in the finale of season three.
The focus will also be on siblings Cane, Diana, and Dru, who are eagerly waiting to see what will happen to Monet after an attempt on her life by Tasha. Additionally, Davis is struggling with the consequences of Saxe's death.
This season introduces new characters such as Elle (played by Talia Robinson), who is the lead singer of a hip-hop group at Stansfield. There is also Anya Covington (played by Sydney Winbush), Noma's daughter who is unaware of her mother's profession, as well as Detectives Nico Calder and Felicia Lewis (played by Aaron Dean Eisenberg and Alison Luff).
The first part of Power Book II: Ghost season four will be available to stream on Starz on June 7, with the second part set to premiere a few months later on September 6. The show is broadcast on Lionsgate+ in the UK, but the exact air date has not been announced yet.
The press release for the last season hints that it will be action-packed, with thrilling twists and turns as the characters seek revenge. The individual motivations of each character drive their ability to make choices in the game, whether they choose to delve deeper, fight to escape, or blur the lines between the two options.
"As family dynamics are tested and tensions reach their peak, the unpredictable nature of this season will have viewers questioning who you can trust and if your own family will betray you."
