Megan Thee Stallion is opening up the BET AWARDS

Megan Thee Stallion is poised to bring some "Hot Girl Summer" vibes to the BET Awards.
The "Savage" rapper will open this weekend's awards show with a performance of her hit songs, BET said Wednesday.
The network did not divulge which songs Megan planned to perform, but it's safe to assume she'll play something from her self-titled 2024 album, which contains the singles "Hiss," "Cobra," and "Boa."
Megan joins a growing list of artists, including GloRilla, Ice Spice, Latto, Lauryn Hill & YG Marley, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, Tyla, Victoria Monét, and Will Smith, who will debut a new tune on the BET Awards stage.
Taraji P. Henson returns to host the gala for the third time, while Usher will receive BET's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Drake leads this year's nominees with seven, including Album of the Year for For All The Dogs (Scary Hours Edition). Nicki Minaj follows with six nominations. J. Cole, Sexyy Red, SZA, and Victoria Monét each got five nominations. Fans can vote for the Viewer's Choice Award until 6:30 p.m. PT on June 30.

The awards are held at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, and the show will telecast live on BET on Sunday, June 30 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Fans in the Los Angeles area can attend this year's BET Experience, which includes a concert series, live comedy acts, and the BETX 2024 FanFest.

Chris Spencer Presents: Michael Blackson All Star Roasts will take place on Thursday, June 27, at the Miracle Theater Inglewood.

The musical schedule for Friday, June 28, at Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles features Cardi B, Afrobeats musician Davido, hip-hop star Gunna, and Sexyy Red.

On Saturday, June 29, at the Hollywood Bowl, located up the 101 Freeway in Hollywood, BET will honor hip-hop trailblazers with performances by Queen Latifah, The Roots, Common, and the Jungle Brothers.
