Lizzo Quits

Lizzo pledged to step away from the spotlight following her performance at President Joe Biden's fundraiser in New York the day before.
On Friday evening, the Grammy-winning artist sent an angry Instagram message, expressing that she is weary of being "dragged" online.
"I am weary of being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet. "All I want to do is make music, make people happy, and leave the world a bit better than I found it," Lizzo added.
"But I'm beginning to believe that the world does not want me in it. I am constantly bombarded with lies about myself in order to gain power and influence. "Being the butt of the joke every time because of how I look…my character being picked apart by people who don't know me and disrespecting my name," she went on to say.
"I didn't sign up for this s-t," she exclaimed, ending with a peace sign emoji. "I QUIT."
