Kelly Rowland and Method Man team up in new film

Amazon MGM Studios' upcoming film Relationship Goals, based on Michael Todd's New York Times best-selling book, will star Kelly Rowland and Cliff "Method Man" Smith.

The film will be directed by Linda Mendoza and produced by DeVon Franklin, with Robin Thede and Annie Gonzalez also cast in the film.  Laura Lekkos wrote the script, based on earlier drafts by Michael Elliot and Cory Tynan. Elliot and Tynan also wrote the upcoming faith-based film R&B for Netflix, produced by Franklin and Tyler Perry Studios.

"Relationship Goals", a funny and inspiring romantic comedy about finding and keeping lasting love, is based on Todd's book Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage and Sex and his viral sermon series on dating, sex, and marriage at Transformation Church. The film also ties in with the R&B song “Relationship Goals (Revelation)”, which reached No. 10 on the Billboard R&B chart.

Rowland and Bart Lipton are executive producers of the film.
