Johnson is back for season 4
Johnson, a Bounce TV dramedy, is returning for its fourth season.
The story depicts four Black males, Omar, Greg, Keith, and Jarvis, who met in elementary school and have been closest friends ever since. They all share the same last name, Johnson, but are not related.
Bounce has published the season 4 trailer, which shows the pals stepping outside of their comfort zones, hunting for love, and jetting off to an island retreat.
“Hot-button topics including race, mental health, classism and the ever-evolving relationship dynamics between men and women” will all be central themes on the new season, the network said in a press release.
The series stars Deji LaRay (Bosch, Greenleaf), Thomas Q. Jones (P. Valley, Luke Cage), Philip Smithey (Switched at Birth, The Rookie), and Derrex Brady (NCIS, First), as well as comic D.L. Hughley (The Original Kings of Comedy).
The new season of Johnson premiered on August 3 with two back-to-back episodes. New episodes air every Saturday at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.
The sitcom is co-produced by Eric C. Rhone and Cedric The Entertainer's A Bird & A Bear Entertainment, Deji LaRay (the show's creator), and Thomas Q. Jones' Midnight Train Productions.
Bounce is part of the E.W. Scripps Company. The network is available in the United States with a digital antenna, on cable, DISH channel 359, DIRECTV channel 82, Roku, Pluto TV, and Apple TV; on the Bounce app; and on the web at BounceTV.com.
