The awards will recognize entertainers, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists.

Fantasia Barrino, a Grammy-winning singer and The Color Purple star, will receive the Black Girl Magic Award.

Tracee Ellis Ross, the star of Black-ish and an entrepreneur, is due to receive the Star Power Award.

Gina Prince-Bythewood, the director of Woman King, will be awarded with the Shot Caller Award.

“Lifetime is thrilled to partner with Beverly Bond and Black Girls Rock! for this historic celebration of Black women’s excellence,” sharedLifetime executive Elaine Frontain Bryant.

In addition to the awards, Black Girls Rock! will have a film festival in Atlanta and a number of other events.

The revamped awards are produced by B.G.R. Enterprises Inc., BondVision Media, and Done + Dusted. Executive producers include Beverly Bond, Jane Mun, Kristen V. Carter, and David Jammy.

The ceremony was originally shown in 2010 and had previously aired on BET. The final ceremony was conducted in 2019.

The concert will be taped at the Fox Theatre on June 27 and aired on Lifetime on August 1.
