Beyonce to perform on Christmas Day
This December, Netflix will host its first-ever live NFL Christmas Day Game, featuring a special halftime performance by Beyoncé. The performance, produced by Parkwood Entertainment and Jesse Collins Entertainment, will showcase songs from Beyoncé's Grammy-nominated album, "Renaissance," live for the first time. This marks a significant moment for both Netflix and the NFL as they kick off what is expected to become a new holiday tradition, with NFL games already announced for 2025 and 2026.
The halftime show, taking place in Beyoncé's hometown of Houston, Texas, during the match between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens, is highly anticipated. Although details remain under wraps, fans can likely expect surprise appearances from artists featured on the "Renaissance" album.
Beyoncé's history with the NFL includes electrifying performances at two Super Bowl halftime shows. Her 2013 Super Bowl XLVII performance with Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams became the second most-watched Super Bowl halftime show in history at the time. In 2016, she joined Coldplay and Bruno Mars for Super Bowl 50's halftime show, which drew a massive audience of 115.5 million viewers.
Netflix's Christmas Day doubleheader will also feature the Super Bowl LVII-winning Kansas City Chiefs facing the Pittsburgh Steelers. Both games will be available on broadcast TV in the competing team cities and on U.S. mobile devices with NFL+, in line with the NFL's holiday tradition.
