After little specifics and numerous rumors about the narrative, Universal Pictures has released some official information regarding Christopher Nolan's next film.
The picture will be based on Homer's epic poem The Odyssey, which Universal touts as "a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology." According to the manufacturer, "the film brings Homer's foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time." Its current release date is July 17, 2026.

The film stars Tom Holland, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, and Charlize Theron. Nolan and his Syncopy colleague Emma Thomas will co-write and produce the picture.

Homer, an ancient Greek writer, wrote The Odyssey, which follows Odysseus, the leader of a troop of soldiers attempting to return home after the Trojan War. Along the trip, Odysseus and his crew are attacked by mythological creatures like as sirens and put to the test of strength and endurance.
